Assuming we have dinner at 8-9 pm, the gap b/w our dinner and wake time is 9 hours which is a significant length of time for the body to go without food.

After 9 hours of no food and lot of repair work that our body has done, it needs calories to start the day with pump & energy. We’re most definitely hungry when we wake up, aren’t we? The most common thing we do is start our day with a cup of coffee/tea coz, it is a generational habit.

Tea/coffee even though are low on calories, have the tendency to induce satiety upon consumption. So when we consume them, we tend to delay/skip our breakfast.

Your body is not getting the calories it needs for your morning hustle so it burns the stored glycogen in your liver and muscles. Your body believes it might not get food and goes into conservation mode. So the next meal you eat GETS STORED and not burnt even if you just eat 1 roti/dosa.

So, eat something before or with your daily tea/coffee. It can be a fruit, soaked nuts, anything healthy. Have your breakfast within 2 hours of waking up before you start your daily hustle. Having good food when you are the most active in your day ensures everything you eat is burnt and not stored. It is also a good weightloss tip which I shall talk about in my next post!
